ATIA Accreditation is a voluntary scheme established to enhance travel industry standards and ensure the professionalism of the travel industry into the future. Looking for a travel business that carries the ATIA symbol means you’ll be dealing with an agent or operator that has met extensive criteria and standards to become accredited.

All ATIA accredited travel businesses must adhere to the ATAS Code of Conduct. The code sets standards of good practice for ATIA-accredited travel agents, wholesalers and tour operators in their day-to-day dealings.

The Code supports the overall objectives of ATIA by:

• Setting minimum standards of behaviour and service delivery for ATIA-accredited travel agents, wholesalers and tour operators, and providing for suitable consequences when these standards are not met;
• Holding all ATIA-accredited travel agents, wholesalers and tour operators to the same standard of behaviour, no matter where they are based;
• Establishing an independent process for assisting consumers and ATIA-accredited travel agents, wholesalers and tour operators to resolve any complaints or disputes that might arise; and
• Building the professionalism of the travel industry into the future.
